1️⃣ Three World Premieres:

Experience the power of music as we present three remarkable world premieres that address the struggles and resilience of immigrants. Reed Criddle's "Nomad" takes us on a sonic journey through the challenges faced by nomad as well as the immigration, while Clifford W. King's "The Journal" unveils the personal stories of those who have embarked on a life-changing immigration experience.

2️⃣ A Tribute to Chinese Railroad Workers:

Join us in paying homage to the Chinese Railroad Workers and their monumental contribution to our nation's development. 崔薇Wei Cui's "Best of Luck: In Memory of Chinese Railroad Workers" is a heartfelt composition that commemorates their legacy and the completion of the Golden Spike, symbolizing the unity of cultures.

3️⃣ Contemporary Chinese Choral Repertoire:

Be enchanted by renowned Chinese composers' beautiful melodies and harmonies as we showcase a stunning selection of contemporary Chinese choral repertoire. This music beautifully captures the essence of Chinese culture and will transport you to the depths of its rich musical heritage.

🎹 Join Us 🎵

We accept new members twice a year. 

No prior experience is necessary to join the Salt Lake Chinese Choir Program. The audition process is quick and simple. Singers just need to prepare at least 30 seconds to a minute of song for the audition. We are looking for applicants who can match pitch and have an enthusiasm for singing. 

The Salt Lake Chinese Choir will volunteer auditions during mid-February after Chinese New Year Celebration and mid-August after summer break.

Come celebrate the Holiday Season with us! Our Annual Choir Christmas Potluck Party will be held at Christ United Methodist Church Gym from 12 Noon to 3PM. Bring your favourite dish to share. Don't forget that we will be doing White Elephant gift exchange. $10 suggested but do what you want.  Can't wait to see you all there!! Merry Christmas!

The Salt Lake Chinese Choir is preparing for our upcoming VIRTUAL CONCERT project!  For those who missed our first Virtual Choir performance, you are welcome to join us. Our choir still connect and meet each other every Saturday from 1-3pm through Zoom Conference.  We encourage you to participate and would love to see you singing with us. 

Practice

Our new practice venue is at Christ United Methodist Church , 2375 E 3300 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84109.
Choir practice takes place on Saturday afternoons 1:00pm - 3:00pm
