With shovels and spades, the unyielding terrain was overcome.
With picks and cauldrons, the coast-to-coast track was built to last.

Every moment, prayers to the ancestors for protection. Best of luck.
Day and night, silent gratitude for heaven's blessings. Best of luck.

Light incense and candles. Pour a libation of wine. Through the portal of time and space,
Wishes converge at your side.
Drink a toast to a bamboo-hatful of hope; Shoulder the duties woven into your Chinese-style garment.

May your future generations be blessed.

stretching as far as the eye can see
Aboard the ship of hope, we ventured the waves Sleepless nights afloat the billowing sea
Hearts surged with aspirations for a golden homeland

The mountain range, its slopes undulating
Ropes of courage fastened, we ascended the peaks Hammer in hand, we chiseled through the merciless seasons

With sweat and strength, the arduous way we overcame

From the earth welled up the salt lake’s tears Across the desert, gusts bursted into song
Our native land now behind us, the new world beckons

On foot is this rough expedition measured
By hands is the blueprint of fate drawn
On this vast expanse, footprints mark the pursuit of our dream
